Devold AMT’s main goal is to be world leader in the mass production of stitched composite reinforcements. In recent years, the company has been working to rationalise its production and establish strategic market alliances. In 2008, the company strengthened its customer base by gaining new customers and supplying large volumes to existing customers.
PPG-Devold LLC in Shelby, NC, was established in order to exploit the market potential in the USA. Optimal integration with our partner and raw materials manufacturer PPG Industries Inc. is an important success factor. At UAB AMT Baltija’s factory in Lithuania, the production volume was the biggest challenge to profitable operation when the company was established in 2007. The problem was addressed by moving a large production line from Norway to Lithuania in summer 2008. This measure has resulted in better operational reliability at the factory and increased volumes.
